Terms of Service
Effective October 11, 2026
Sideline Coach is operated by Kempton Concepts LLC, doing business as Sideline (“Sideline”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, joining a team, or using the app in any other way you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Who may use Sideline Coach
Accounts are for adults: coaches, assistant coaches, parents, guardians, and other adult members of a team. You must be at least 18 to create an account. Players are not users of the app and do not sign in; information about them is entered by a coach or submitted by a parent or guardian.
Your account
You sign in with Google, Apple, or an email link, and you are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in method secure and tell us through the Contact page if you think someone else has used it.
Your team's data
- The information you put into a team — roster, schedule, results, line-ups, attendance, notes, and contact details — belongs to your team. You give Sideline permission to store and process it only so the app can work.
- A coach who enters information about a player, or who sends an update link to a family, is responsible for having the right to do so, including any consent a school, league, or law requires.
- Coaches decide who joins a team and who becomes a coach; Sideline steps in only as a logged support step, for example when a team has lost its only coach. Sideline does not review those decisions.
- You can leave a team, remove or delete players, or delete a team at any time. Deleting a player or a team permanently removes their data from the app; backup copies last up to 14 weeks and are used only for recovery.
Acceptable use
Don't use Sideline Coach to:
- enter information about a person you have no right to enter, or share a team's information with people who are not on the team;
- harass, threaten, or demean anyone, including through player notes;
- break the law, or interfere with the service, other teams' data, or the security measures that protect them;
- copy the app or use automated tools to pull data out of it beyond the exports it provides.
Plans and payment
Sideline Coach has a FREE plan and a paid plan, PRO, which is bought for a program: one sport at one organization. PRO covers three of the program's teams, and a yearly plan can add more for a price per team. When a program has more teams than its plan covers, the teams that joined it last are on the FREE plan; a team restored or moved into the program joins at the back of that line, and the coach who pays can send a team to the back of it in Settings › Billing, once every 30 days. The FREE plan includes the roster, schedule, results, ladder, attendance, tasks and the Inbox, for any number of players and parents. On the FREE plan, each coach can change one team that no plan covers, a team can have up to two coaches, and email and push reminders and season reports are part of PRO. A new program starts with 30 days of PRO for three of its teams, once for each coach who starts one. If a team is over a FREE-plan limit, for example when a trial or a plan ends, it becomes view only for the coaches the limit affects: they can see everything on it, leave it or archive it, but not change it until it is within the limits again or has a plan. Nothing you entered will be deleted for choosing not to pay. If what the FREE plan includes changes, we will say what changes on the Pricing page before it takes effect.
A school or club can also arrange PREMIER, which covers every team in up to thirty of its programs. PREMIER is set up with us through the Contact page and paid by invoice or purchase order, not in the app. Its price is on the Pricing page; its term, what it covers and how it ends are confirmed in writing when it is arranged. While an organization has PREMIER, PRO is not sold for its programs, and when PREMIER ends they return to the FREE plan, on the terms above.
- Prices are listed on the Pricing page. The price, the billing period, and the program a plan covers are shown again in Settings › Billing before you buy. No set-up or processing fee is added to a plan's price. Any sales tax is added at checkout.
- Payments are taken by Stripe. Sideline never sees your full card number, and Stripe emails your receipts.
- Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each period, charging the same payment method, until you cancel. A season pass is a single charge for four months and does not renew. Switching a monthly plan or a season pass to a yearly plan starts the yearly plan that day, with the unused part of the old plan credited, and it renews each year until you cancel.
- Extra teams are charged when you add them, for the rest of your yearly plan's year. Extra teams you remove stay paid for until the plan renews, and nothing is refunded for them.
- You can cancel at any time in Settings › Billing › Manage Billing. The plan stays on until the end of the period you have paid for, and then the program returns to the FREE plan.
- Refunds: ask through the Contact page within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it, unless the program's season is already past its halfway point.
- If a price changes, we will tell you before the new price applies to your plan.
Availability and changes
The app is provided as it is, and it will change over time. We may add, alter, or retire features, and we may pause the service for maintenance. We aim for reliability but do not promise that the app will always be available or error-free, and we recommend exporting anything you can't afford to lose.
Ending things
You can stop using Sideline Coach at any time. If you pay for a plan, cancel it in Settings › Billing › Manage Billing before you remove your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other people's data at risk, or abuses the service, and we may remove content that violates them.
Disclaimers and limits
To the fullest extent the law allows, Sideline provides the app without warranties of any kind and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of it. If Sideline is found liable for anything connected to the app, that liability is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars if you paid nothing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, the effective date above changes with them, and continuing to use the app means you accept the new terms. Questions go through the Contact page.
